The Bhagyari Alsatian is a variety of the Bhagyari Kutta dog breed which is commonly seen in Pakistan. Their precise date of origin is quite unclear, what is clear is that this particular Pakistan shepherd dog breed was created by crossing the standard Bhagyari Kutta and the German Shepherd Dog breed that was imported by European merchants to this part of Central Asia. Among the varieties of Bhagyari Kutta dogs, the Bhagyari Alsatian can be mostly found in Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab provinces.

Personality

The Bhagyari Alsatian is a herding dog that is known to display very keen and loving traits towards their herd. This is a very dedicated sheep herding breed, famous for their alertness, fearlessness and extreme courage while doing their job. The Bhagyari Alsatian will be very protective of their herded sheep, masters and their properties. This is a dog breed that will be loving and loyal to their human family, obedient to their handles and playful towards children. They are natural working dogs that have a strong working drive.

The Bhagyari Alsatian was bred by crossing the standard Pakistan Shepherd dog with the German Shepherd Dog breed.

Environment

Bhagyari Alsatian dogs can adapt to extremely hot temperatures and known to work in desert temperatures exceeding 104° F or 40° C.

Grooming

The Bhagyari Alsatian dog breed are dogs that shed hair constantly in very little amount. They will shed heavily by the end of each season. If kept as indoor dogs, Bhagyari Alsatians should be brushed every day. If kept as working dogs, weekly brushing will be sufficient.

Training

Bhagyari Alsatians are dogs that can be trained very easily. This dog breed is naturally eager and will love to learn new things from their master.

Health

The Bhagyari Alsatian is a fairly healthy sheep herding dog breed. These Pakistani herding dogs are known to be allergies to fleas.
