More about the shelter
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in So. CA who has established chapters outside of the area to attempt to place more of the dogs that are dying in the shelters in So. CA. Many areas do not have small breed dogs and we transport and meet with potential adopters because So. CA is deluged in small breed dogs.
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.

Peter Pan: The Lost Boy Looking for His Forever Home
Second star to the right and straight on to your heart—meet Peter Pan, the pup who refuses to grow up (but is learning some impressive big-boy manners)! This 5-6 month old Beagle-Italian Greyhound (ish) mix has all the makings of a legend: the face of an angel, the legs of a runway model, and the playful spirit of a Neverland adventurer.
A Dog Who Believes in Magic (And Treats)
Peter Pan used to think hands were for nibbling, but thanks to some pixie-dust training (and a fine mist from a spray bottle), he now understands that people’s fingers are not chew toys. When he gets too excited, a simple “spish spish” sound reminds him to be gentle—proof that he might actually be part genius.
Speaking of smarts, Peter Pan is one of the easiest puppies we've ever trained. He’s potty-trained (zero accidents!), crate-trained (tucks himself in at night), and working on mastering the mystical art of ringing the potty bells. He follows cues from his foster siblings and has made huge strides on walks—what was once a scary adventure is now his favorite part of the day!
Neverland Adventures Await!
Peter Pan is a yard explorer extraordinaire. He takes his job as the neighborhood’s smallest security guard very seriously, patrolling for rogue birds and sunbathing after a hard day’s work. He also discovered the joy of mud puddles (and was so thrilled about it that he wagged his tail the entire time he was being cleaned up in the sink—true dedication).
And then there’s fetch. Oh, does Peter Pan love fetch! But why play the normal way when you can turn it into an obstacle course? Over the couch, under the table, across the chairs—he keeps things interesting. If fetch was an Olympic sport, Peter Pan would be bringing home the gold.
Part-Time Lap Dog, Full-Time Family Member
Peter Pan might be playful, but when it’s time to relax, he’s all about the snuggles. He loves curling up next to his people, whether it’s in a chair during work calls (he’s now a minor celebrity among his foster mom’s coworkers) or cheering on the family’s video game sessions from the best seat in the house. And if you ever “lose” him, just check under the nearest blanket—he’s a master at building himself cozy little nests.
Who’s the Perfect Family for Peter Pan?
A home with another playful dog would be ideal (his foster dog siblings have taught him so much, and he’s eager to have a best friend!).
A yard would be a bonus—he loves having outdoor space to patrol and nap in.
Someone who enjoys a mix of fun and affection—he plays hard and cuddles harder!
A family who appreciates a pup who’s both adventurous and adaptable—he's grown from a nervous little guy into a confident, joyful companion.
Peter Pan has spent his whole life searching for his place in the world, and we know his perfect family is out there. Are you ready to take him on your next great adventure? Because once you meet him, you’ll never want to say “I won’t grow up” without him.Videos of Peter Pan: https://youtu.be/S8PU4LQ4IhUhttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/hOYB4dmBRI8
