Meet Chase! Chase was found with his brother Chewy in an abandoned property without food or water. The tenants had been evicted a week earlier. Chase and Chewy were taken to Long Beach Animal Care Services, and we scooped them up to become Frosted Faces on November 29th. Chase is 14 years old and weighs 6.5 lbs. He doesn't use his back legs from grade 4/4 luxating patellas but doesn't let that hold him back (see video)! Despite all they've been through, he and Chewy are the sweetest boys. Chase and Chewy are currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so they can receive extra TLC in a home while we learn more about them. We received a great update from their Fling Mom: "It’s amazing how resilient dogs can be. Chewy and Chase were left behind after their owners moved out and found a week later in deplorable condition. Chewy had eye and ear problems which have been resolved. Chase was more emaciated than Chewy with ribs and spine clearly showing. I’ve been giving Chase three meals a day and increased his food by 50%. Chewy and Chase are a really easy, sweet pair. They're very mellow and get along just fine with my pack of six dogs. These two will do well in just about any home as noises, children, other dogs don’t bother them at all. They’re easy to care for, use puppy pads indoors, sleep through the night, and have no separation anxiety. Chase is the more social of the two, seeks me out for attention, and enjoys being held. He doesn't let Chewy out of his sight for too long.   Chewy is the other half of the bonded pair with Chase. Chewy is a low-key guy but has started to venture a little more and went outside on his own when I went out with my pack yesterday. He explored the far part of the yard and was walking the perimeter of the yard on the blocks next to the fence. He hasn’t barked but loves to rub his head on the blanket and make lots of cute, moaning noises.    Now they just need a forever home!" Check back for the full report on this special duo's Fling!
