He can be a little bossy with some dogs but overall is playful and outgoing.   CATS: He ignores them.   CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older   ADOPTION DONATION: $550    HEALTH: DOUGIE HOWSER is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines.   Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care.    NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME:   We don't know much of Dougie's past, as he was most likely abandoned with a companion who unfortunately did not make it.  He was quite skittish when we first got him, having been abandoned and left to fend for himself for days. However, now he's quite comfortable and confident in the home. Very affectionate and playful. Very curious. Always in everyone's business. He may be small but he has energy so he would be great in a home who is active. He's quite athletic and no baby gate will hold him back. He will either need to be on a leash or 6' fenced yard, as he can most likely scale a 4' chain link. He's up for a hike as well as a snuggle. He's very curious and social and doesn't understand that all dogs are not automatically friends with him. He's a wonderful and affectionate little boy who would make a wonderful family member!   All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar (or a harness, if necessary), depending on each dog's particular needs. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup!   ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue!
