More about the shelter
SOS tries to rescue & rehome abandoned kittens/cats throughout Texas due to over population from cats/kittens not being spayed/neutered.
SOS works with other rescues to assist in placing in foster care until they can be adopted.
SOS does participate in TNR when necessary but prefer to socialize and then place in a good home.
SOS offers "comfort kitties" to those needing emotional support. Any applicant that currently has an ESA from a medical doctor is paired up w/a comfort kitty that matches their requirements. SOS takes great pride in offering this to our applicants.

About Lili
Distance: 2,197 Miles
Lily has learned that humans are the source of food and love. It takes her a bit to warm up, but soon she is purring and cuddling. Loud noises still startle her. She has progressed greatly since coming into care with SOS. She is very bonded to her sister Cloud. They cry when separated. She is medium haired and will likely get more fluffy as she grows. Her tail is varicolored and more fluffy than normal. Her hair is getting softer as she enjoys higher quality food. ADOPT: Fill out the application online at https://www.siameseorientalsnowshoerescue.org/adopt or email adopt@soscatrescue.org and request a copy. More info at siameseorientalsnowshoerescue.org/FAQ Each cat will come to their new home with: neutered or spayed, age-appropriate vaccines, individually tested negative for FeLV/FIV, heartworm negative, and microchipped.San Antonio & Austin areas: Kittens over 1 pound may be foster-to-adopt for approved adopters. In this instance, SOS Cat Rescue will cover spay, neuter, vaccines, combo testing (if not already completed) and microchip at 2.2 pounds.DOGS & CATS: Unless otherwise noted, they are compatible with calm dogs who are cat-friendly. They are also compatible with cat-friendly cats with similar energy levels. If interested in a cat/kitten with a higher energy level than your current cat, adopting a bonded pair is recommended to avoid upsetting your cat. Slow introduction to new dogs and cats, according to the Jackson Galaxy method, is important to ensure they get along.FLUFFY KITTIES: Adopters must have experience grooming long hair cats or be willing to take a quick class on YouTube about grooming long hair cats. TRANSPORT DETAILS: Kittens younger than 16 weeks: adopters can fly to Austin or San Antonio airports for pickup. Texas: cats over 14 weeks can travel along 1-35 or within 4 hours of San Antonio with a rescue partner for a small donation. Out of state: for cats over 14 weeks old, transport is available to most of the Southern states, plus CT, NY, PA, ME, NJ and a few other states for $175 per crate. If they get along and space permits, up to 2 cats or 4 kittens can share a crate, and cost will be split amongst adopters. Out of state transport must have an Interstate Health Certificate by a qualified veterinarian for $85.MORE KITTIES: https://sos.rescueme.org/ Thank you for considering adopting one of our rescue kittens/cats!Thank you for considering adopting one of our kittens/cats.
