More about the shelter
Peace, Love, and Poms Rescue is dedicated to saving Pomeranians and small breed dogs from abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Our rescue is a safe haven for small dogs in need.
Vision: Our volunteers dedicate their lives to nurturing the needs, both medically and emotionally, of all dogs at Peace, Love, and Poms Rescue with the goal of finding their perfect forever home. We envision a world where every dog has a safe and loving home.
Values: We are committed to educating pet owners and building a community that respects companion dogs as well as provides them lifelong homes and necessary medical care. Our organization promotes the importance of proper care, consistent vaccinations, and spaying and neutering of domesticated animals. Our values are comprised of compassion and respect for both humans and animals. Peace, Love, and Poms rescue is proud to base our organization on empathy, integrity, and devotion.
Peace Love and Poms Rescue is not a shelter environment. All our dogs are placed in loving foster homes where they are treated like family until a forever home is found
Submit application, then a vet reference is conducted, then a telephone interview is conducted, then personal references are conducted, then a home visit. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. An adoption contract is signed by the adopter along with a donation.
About Paisley
Distance: 224 Miles
Paisley is a 5 year old, 13 pound Havanese who lived her life in a puppy mill. She was lucky and got to retire into rescue! Paisley has grown her hair back and finished her vetting which included a cherry eye repair. Now that she is all healed, it's time for this beautiful soul to find her forever home! Paisley is crate trained, leash trained (she does require a fenced yard as she doesn't potty on a leash and does get startled easily) , house trained on pee pads and to go outside, loves toys and other dogs too! She doesn't enjoy the car though. She is improving, but does get car sick so some medicine is needed before and trips in a vehicle can happen to avoid a mess. Paisley does need a little patience in the beginning while she adjusts to new people and a new home, but once she does, she is purely perfect! Won't you be her happily ever after? To adopt Paisley, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, spay, dental, cherry eye repair, and all the love you can handle!
