Abby is still fearful of people but is making good progress. She lets familiar volunteers pet her and she enjoys the touch and affection. She needs an adoptor with a quiet house (she does ok with other cats) who is very patient. The right adopter for Abby will let her progress at her pace and will love her even if she doesn't completely overcome her fear. Abby is sweet and gorgeous and we believe she'll continue to get more comfortable. We're making her available now in case the right adopter comes along. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us!
