More about the shelter
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

Dalton is Looking For: This sweetie landed in the shelter due to no fault of his own. He's wise and experienced, and knows what's most important in life - having his own humans and being safe and loved and under his own roof. He's eager to once again have his own family, to trot alongside them on those sniffy walks (that hound nose!) and all the adventures they can dream up. In exchange, he promises love and adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days.
What do you say? Can you see Dalton by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: Dalton is a great walker and enjoys sniffing anything and everything while we're out. He seemed interested in other dogs but was pretty shy with an initial meeting during our walk. He ate and went into his crate slowly but did well once he was in. Overall, he is a great dog and I think he just needs some time to decompress and adjust to a new home.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.
