More about the shelter
Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999 by Lorraine Schrieber and Barb Giano who have a love for animals. To date, we have around 60 members of BCAA. We focus primarily on rescue and adoption of shelter dogs and cats in high kill shelters and surrounding areas in New Jersey. Our main focus is to make the public aware of the numbers of homeless dogs and cats there are in shelters and to promote adoption of these animals. We advocate spaying and neutering of all companion animals to counteract the overpopulation of dogs and cats and to end the tragedy of euthanizing healthy, unwanted companion pets.

About Radar
Distance: 2,515 Miles
Meet little Radar. He is in search of a new home after his parents reached out to us heartbroken because he is just too much with their new child who has started walking. It makes him a little nervous and he acts out. Radar is- up to date on all shots and neutered. He is about 5-6 years old and 10 lbs. If youre looking for a long car travel buddy, he may not be the best one for you because he gets a little nervous in the car. But a short ride he can do. Radar is still a bit leash reactive but LOVES walks and is so fast. He loves to run in circles in our backyard. He will bark if he sees another dog on a leash while he is out walking. That is a small dog for you. Radar adores people and is a true love bug. He gets super excited and jumpy when new people enter the house, but not in an aggressive way, just very excitable. He quickly calms down, and once he’s calm he will nuzzle in the lap of any person. He wants to be AS CLOSE to his people as possible when lounging, often scratching at my sweatshirt because (not kidding) he wants to get inside of it and cuddle. That is how sweet and loving he is. He is incredibly food motivated and reminds you it’s almost dinner time by barking at you.He is fully house trained, but needs to be put outside when it’s cold otherwise he will sneak and poop in the house. This is only because he hates the cold. He can sit, and he knows other commands as well but struggles to listen at times, again just like a small dog. If you think you can give this little one the home and life he deserves, please fill out an application on our website bcaaofnj.org
