About Athena

Distance: 2,663 Miles
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue.  She is a 10-month-old Great Pyrenees.  She and 2 others were found roaming the streets.  One was hit by a car and the 2 are now with CCPAL Rescue.  The Good Samaritan that brought them saw it all and has kept them till CCPAL could take them.  She mentioned that she thought they were rejected by a breeder.  Maybe they were not adopted soon enough?  We are not sure but Athena is a wonderful dog.  She is gentle and great with other dogs.  She doesn’t know anything about leash walking but we will be working with her on leash skills.  She is about 75 pounds and looks to be a good weight.  This breed of dog is a Guardian dog and are known for their ability to protect a flock of animals from harm.  She will need a fenced yard as this breed will roam without a fence.  She has a wonderful long coat and will be great in the more northern and colder climates.  We think she is a pure-bred GP pup.  She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.  Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180.  Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
