More about the shelter
Arctic Rescue Southwest (ARSW) was launched with the goal of providing much needed support to the arctic breed community outside of Arctic Rescue's typical reach.
ARSW focuses primarily on pulling dogs from kill shelters, and educating owners to help dogs stay in homes. We can provide training and advice on dealing with numerous behavioral problems. Our goals are to find our dogs suitable forever homes, and minimize the number of dogs that end up in shelters.
If you have any questions, or are interested in adopting a dog, please contact us at ARSW@arcticrescue.com
Adopters are required to submit an adoption application, we do reference checks and a home visit. Adoption fees vary based on age of dog.
About Dan
Distance: 398 Miles
Dan is an extremely affectionate 1-2 year old husky who is looking for an active family that understands huskies. Dan would love the opportunity to play at bikejoring, and get plenty of exercise through running, or hiking. Dan gets along well with other dogs but can be pushy at times. He would do best with another dog his size who likes to play. Dan knows some basic obedience such as "sit" but could use a refresher course in obedience training and leash walking. Dan would love a husky savvy family who can give him the time and attention he needs, along with secure containment and plenty of exercise!!
