More about the shelter
Davis County Animal Care & Control is committed to providing great service to residents and compassionate care to animals, working tirelessly to support public safety, find homes for homeless animals and educate the community about responsible pet ownership
Spay/Neuter fees are paid at the time of adoption. This fee is $55.00 for dogs and $45.00 for cats. In addition, there is a $15.00 purchase fee. We require that all of the dogs and cats adopted from our shelter be spayed or neutered. The cost of this surgery is included in the adoption fee. A certificate is issued to the animal owner, and is valid at all of the Veterinarians in Davis County, as well as most Veterinarians throughout the State of Utah.
Potential adopters will be required to complete an Adoption application, and will be interviewed by an Adoption Specialist. The adoption process can normally be completed in less than an hour, once a pet is selected.
We reserve the right to "refuse an adoption" based on information obtained in the application, interview or failure to comply with adoption requirements, including confinement and sterilization.
Our staff will provide you with as much information as possible at the time of your adoption. You will be embarking on a lifetime commitment that will determine the fate of your new pet.
