At one year of age, Josie has matured into a fun and independent, medium-sized, mixed breed dog. Her markings remind us of a shepherd, but her legs and body length are more like a basset hound. Josie’s months as a puppy had some rough patches behaviorally, but she started to turn the corner after landing in foster care with a professional dog trainer. She is funny, playful, outgoing and knows several commands. Josie loves to run laps in the yard, is reliable with her house training, walks well on a leash and willingly sleeps in her kennel most nights. Josie likes other dogs, but we’re still recommending her as an only pet, preferably with no small children.
