More about the shelter
We started many years ago as a TNR group for feral cats. Naturally you also get many scared, dumped domestic animals. Ferals had no advocates in our area when we started. Thankfully now, we've been working with our local animal control and they are finally not destroying all animals deemed feral. Unfortunately, there are still too many breeding animals (feral and domestic) that need help so we can stop the needless, mass reproduction. Sometimes that's a well-meaning individual who feeds cats and after a couple of years, realizes there is a problem, or it could be an elderly person who can't afford to vet their animals. The animals not only need our advocacy but occasionally the people we help do as well. We adopt the animals that can be adopted and find special placement for others that aren't so readily "adoptable".
We have a application and adoption agreement, and complete it with a home visit. Our adoption fees are $125 per cat or $200/two cats. Requirements include the cat come back to us if they can't keep it, no declaw and must be inside only.

Introducing RAMSEY... DOB est 5/16/2022, male, neutered, brown tabby Scottish Fold, vaccinated, microchipped...
RAMSEY and his good friend PORTIA (a blue-eyed calico) are adorable sweethearts looking for a Forever Home together!! They came from a rural area where they were left on someone’s property. Thankfully someone contacted Forgotten Felines and they were brought to safety. Their futures are much brighter now! RAMSEY is a VERY handsome Scottish Fold tabby with the most precious face!! He also happens to LOVE being held close like a baby! Could you resist that face??!! They're both very sweet, affectionate young adults and while they may be a bit shy at first, they'll make a loving addition to your home. If you don’t have other cats, they’ll be happy to be your only spoiled children but will also be fine joining a home with other nice kitties! They've just moved in to the University Drive Petsmart - and if you'd like to arrange a time to meet them - EMAIL info@ffhsv.org, or call a number above!
